Our primary goals are to encourage our children to learn, gain self-confidence, and make new friends. From there, we want our students to learn based on their own curiosity, learn by playing with friends, and to be involved in activities that will stimulate their development. Some of these activities include projects centered around books, music, art time, letter writing, learning numbers, etc. See more of our special events, weekly music classes and other activities below.
To facilitate learning based own our students own interests, we designed our classrooms with have different high-interest centers devoted to art, reading, science, imaginative play, block-building, and more. We like to think of ourselves as facilitators of learning and guide our student’s interests.
Little Acorn also engages students with outdoor, nature-centric learning activities and a focus on early STEM education. Our goal is to keep students ready for their next steps while allowing them to learn based on their own innate sense of curiosity as much as possible.
