At Little Acorn, we believe every child is capable, curious, and creative. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Waldorf approaches, we create engaging, child-centered classrooms where learning is guided by each child's natural interests and imagination.
Our thoughtfully designed learning spaces encourage art, sensory exploration, imaginative play, block building, literacy, and early STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) experiences. Social-emotional learning is woven into every day as children build confidence, develop friendships, practice cooperation, and learn conflict resolution in a supportive community.
Nature is an essential part of the Little Acorn experience. Our outdoor classroom invites children to climb, explore, discover insects, and enjoy messy mud play. We also take advantage of our location with regular walks to the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail, Bartlett Park, the Chelmsford Public Library's green spaces, and other local destinations. We weave in imaginative play everywhere, as we eplore our surroundings we are "Tourists in Our Town."
Our curriculum combines literacy, music, art, math, and hands-on projects inspired by current events and the interests of our students. Rather than simply teaching lessons, our educators serve as facilitators of learning, nurturing curiosity and creating meaningful experiences that prepare children for a lifelong love of learning.

Her curriculum focuses on life skills like self-regulation, balance, and self-awareness. Meg is passionate about sharing movement, breath and relaxation practices in a developmentally appropriate way through play, music and stories.
